Happy New month Zuri's! I can't believe January is over, seems like it was yesterday we were all celebrating the New Year. I'm truly thankful that I get to witness another month.
This week is all about the little black dress, its funny how I try to stay away from black but seem to have a substantial number in my closet. I don't think black works well with my skin tone but I must confess it is a great backdrop for statement jewelry.
Everyone should have at least one black dress for each season in their wardrobe. This off the shoulder corset dress is a go to piece for me in fall/winter. The thickness of the fabric, length of the dress and sleeves makes it perfect for fall/winter weather. Its also a versatile layering piece, you can pair it with a blazer, jacket, cardigan, sweater, scarf or leggings.
I personally fell in love with the off shoulder detail, corset waist and slit on the dress, it would have been heaven sent if it was plum. LOL
I paired the dress with the EBUN necklace from our Asikomi collection for a bold pop of color and to give some detail to the plain neckline. The length of the necklace works well with a blazer, and doesn't draw attention away from the corset detail of the dress.
